Happy Birthday Cassidy!

Its been a few months since I spent an early morning with the Latiolais’ as they welcomed sweet Cassidy into their family, but revisiting these photos made me smile just as much as that day! The love, happiness, and faith surrounding this family was so strong that the day was a joy to photograph, even when the plans changed because little Cassidy couldn’t be with her family right away due to some complications. Every birth story I photograph is different than the last so I never go into any delivery with expectations, I’m only there to document the story exactly as it unfolds. Cassidy was happy and healthy, she just needed some extra monitoring after delivery and I got to document her beautiful unique story just as it was! I got to meet her big sister, Avery, and document their first time meeting! And a fun bonus was Cassidy’s parents kept her name a secret to the family and planned to reveal her name after delivery! Her family knew she was a girl, they knew her initials, and all took their guesses at her name but it wasn’t revealed until we got to visit her in the nursery and the sweet nurses were so kind as to let us open the door for her parents to announce her name to their family, Cassidy Shae Latiolais. I’m so happy I got to document this story, it was one that truly brought me joy. Here is the Latiolais birth story!
