Leonards Family + First Birthday Session

Sweet Luke is one whole year old today so I thought it would be a perfect day to share the Leonards family session and Luke’s first birthday cake smash! I was sooo excited to hear from Lauren again to book this session! I first worked with Lauren & Heath back when they were ready to announce that they were expecting Luke, and then later heard from them again when they decided to have me document Luke’s grand arrival. You guys really just don’t know how special it is to a photographer to be able to watch and document your family growing! It’s so so special and such an honor for us!

I was also excited that Lauren decided to go with the cotton field for their session, she styled their outfits so well! It was a very warm Fall day that day, one day before the first cool front of the season, but nonetheless we had a pretty perfect session! We started with family pictures then Luke dived into his first birthday cake and ended with some of the most pitiful but cutest tears I’ve ever seen when he was ready to be done! I absolutely LOVE working and hanging out with the Leonards family, they are the sweetest humans and I’m hoping to be able to continue document many milestones with them in the future!
